The Payments & PSP Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of payment solutions within a high-paced retail Trading & FX Brokerage. This role involves defining product vision, strategy, and roadmap, conducting market research, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Ultimately, the Payments Product Manager aims to create seamless and efficient payment experiences for customers while driving revenue growth and market leadership.
Reporting to: Head of Operations
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to define and articulate the vision, strategy, outcomes and roadmap for payment products, aligning them with overall business objectives
- Conduct thorough market research, competitor analysis, and user research to identify opportunities, trends, and customer needs.
- Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation and planning to launch and iteration
- Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, compliance, and operations teams to ensure seamless product development, execution, launch and optimisation
- Possess a strong understanding of global payment systems, including payment processing, money movement, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure that all payment products and processes comply with relevant financial regulations and industry standards
- Capture, measure and report on Outcomes (OKRs), and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to payment processing, customer satisfaction, and revenue generation
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including banks, payment service providers (PSPs), and other partners
- Identify and resolve issues related to payment processing, customer experience, and product performance
- Supporting various payment methods, including bank transfers, credit/debit cards, e-wallets, and potentially cryptocurrencies
- Help with identifying and mitigating risks associated with currency fluctuations, payment fraud, and other potential issues
- Ensuring a smooth and secure payment experiences which will delight customers
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in Product Management, specifically within driving strong (and evidencable) business outcomes across Payments in the Trading, FinTech industry or similar industry
- Strong understanding of payment systems, including global payment networks, scheme integrations, and payment market infrastructure
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to conduct market research, analyse data, and translate insights into product requirements
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing complex projects
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to payments. Experience in Payments within a Brokerage strongly preferred but not essential
- Educated to at least degree level in a related field
