What You'll Do:
As a Tax/Audit Officer, you'll be an essential member of the finance team, primarily responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of the Cyprus-based entities' statutory, tax and VAT reporting obligations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing all necessary financial and statutory information required for the completion of the statutory audits of the Cyprus-based entities, in coordination with external auditors.
- Maintaining communication with external auditors to ensure the smooth conduct of statutory audits.
- Preparing information and financial workings required for the completion of the group's transfer pricing studies, enabling management to ensure all inter-company arrangements conform with the arm's length principle for Cyprus TP purposes.
- Conducting monthly reconciliation of the Cyprus-based entities' balances with their related parties and vendors.
- Calculating provisional taxes for Cyprus-based entities.
- Reviewing tax calculation per final audited FS and ensuring accurate, timely submission of the Cyprus-based entities' tax returns.
- Monitoring the tax compliance process for the Cyprus entities.
- Assisting the CFO with the work necessary for the completion of tax audits.
- Keeping up to date with changes and developments in the local tax framework and advising the CFO of possible implications for the organisation.
- Preparing supporting reports required for VAT return submissions.
Your Profile:
- ACA, ACCA, CPA certification or relevant qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- At least 3–4 years of proven experience with Tax and Audit
- A good understanding of Cyprus local tax laws and regulations
- Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns
- A talent for meeting deadlines and solving problems.
- Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Fluency in English (a must)
- Fluency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, spreadsheet formulation)
- The ability to work under pressure
