Java Team Lead, Fintech, Hybrid, Limassol

On behalf of our client, one of the best proprietary trading firms in the financial market we are seeking a Java Team Lead for a leadership role, based in Limassol (Hybrid). We are looking for a candidate with Java expertise (Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA) and a love for modern engineering

• 5+ years in leadership, mentoring teams and setting technical direction
• Strong grasp of REST APIs, microservices, PostgreSQL, and Kafka
• Comfortable with Docker, Git, Maven/Gradle, AWS and agile delivery
• Excellent communicator and a natural team-builder

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a backend team that values clean, scalable code

• Design and implement high-performance services with Java 17+, Spring Boot, and microservices

• Collaborate with frontend (React) and cross-functional squads to deliver 

  seamless experiences

• Take ownership of backend architecture, system design, and performance tuning

• Drive best practices in TDD, CI/CD, and code reviews

• Contribute to the technical roadmap and play a key role in our next 

• stage of growth.
