Emerald Zebra is working closely with a well-established and fast-growing financial services company regulated in multiple jurisdictions and is looking to hire a skilled and business-savvy Data Analyst to join their team in Limassol, Cyprus.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated dashboards and reports for management, compliance, and regulatory purposes.
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports to support internal stakeholders and external audits.
  • Conduct data quality assessments and promote best practices in data governance.
  • Collaborate with trading, marketing, and product teams to analyze pricing strategies, spread optimization, and business performance.
  • Monitor KPIs such as client acquisition, retention, lifetime value, and trading volumes.
  • Analyze client trading behavior, risk metrics, and profitability insights.
  • Perform client segmentation to support data-driven marketing and product decisions.
  • Work alongside IT teams to optimize data architecture and database performance.

Background and experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Data Analyst, BI Developer, or similar role, ideally within a CySEC-regulated CFD/Forex broker or financial services firm.
  • Strong understanding of CFD products, trading environments, and financial markets.
  • Academic background in Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar quantitative field.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and expert knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Solid experience in ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Preferred (Not Mandatory):

  • Statistical analysis and hypothesis testing experience.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques for client segmentation or predictive analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python or R for data processing and modeling.
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations and governance practices.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and DataOps principles.
