Network Support Engineer

This is an opportunity to work for a hosting provider, offering IT Support to a large portfolio of clients around the world. As part of their successful growth, they are hiring a Network Support Engineer to join their team in Larnaca.

Your Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance, availability, and reliability
• Perform regular maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and backups
• Ensure network security by implementing firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures
• Diagnose and resolve network issues, including connectivity problems, latency, and outages
• Respond to and resolve customer support tickets related to network problems
• Collaborate with other IT teams, including system administrators and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration and operation of the network
• Configure and deploy network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
• Manage IP address allocation, DNS settings, and other network configurations
• Implement network changes in accordance with change management policies
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and procedures
• Generate reports on network performance, incidents, and trends
• Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for recurring issues
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for network hardware and software support

Your Qualifications and Experience:

• Network Administration and Network Engineering skills
• Technical Support and Troubleshooting abilities
• Strong understanding of Network Security
• Experience in managing and maintaining network infrastructure
• Knowledge of routing and switching protocols, vLANs, TCP/IP, Port channels, vPC, fibre connections, WAN/LAN
• Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+ are a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
