About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished and growth-driven Head of Commercial to lead global sales and commercial strategy in the maritime technology sector. This role sits at the heart of an ambitious expansion journey combining strong commercial governance and contracting discipline with a mandate to accelerate customer acquisition, market penetration, and scalable revenue growth across an international portfolio of digital products and services.
As part of the leadership team, you will define and execute a global go-to-market and commercial framework, ensuring offerings are competitively positioned, contracts deliver sustainable value, and growth targets are exceeded. You will collaborate across sales, product, delivery, finance, and legal to drive commercial excellence in a fast-evolving and highly innovative market.
What You will Lead and Achieve
Commercial Strategy & Leadership
- Define and implement an international commercial and sales strategy that balances growth ambitions with strong governance
- Drive new logo acquisition, market entry, and revenue expansion with clear accountability for pipeline creation, forecasting, and performance delivery
- Develop competitive pricing models, margin management strategies, and risk frameworks across all offerings
- Lead complex, multi-year customer and partner negotiations with confidence and precision
- Build scalable, repeatable sales processes tailored to global markets
- Act as the executive lead in developing new partnerships and alliances that accelerate growth
Sales, Market Expansion & Partnerships
- Personally engage with top-tier prospects and strategic accounts to win high-value opportunities
- Drive expansion into new markets and customer segments across the maritime value chain including shipowners, ports, offshore operators, and service providers
- Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing, results-oriented sales team
- Develop powerful customer value propositions that stand out in tenders and direct engagements
- Align sales and partnership strategies with product and service delivery capabilities
- Cultivate partnerships, joint ventures, and ecosystem alliances that enable global reach and impact
️ Contracting, Tendering & Governance
- Oversee the full tendering lifecycle from bid qualification to proposal development, pricing, and negotiation
- Manage and optimize the contracting process, ensuring compliance, commercial integrity, and strategic value alignment
- Continuously improve contracting and tendering efficiency to increase win rates and reduce cycle times
- Embed strong commercial governance frameworks across all business operations
Stakeholder Engagement & Industry Leadership
- Represent the organization as a commercial authority at industry events and forums
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-level executives across customers, partners, and suppliers
- Collaborate across teams to ensure contracts deliver measurable, long-term value
- Provide market insights and thought leadership to enhance competitive positioning and influence industry direction.
Who You Are
- A senior commercial leader with 10+ years of international experience in sales, business development, or commercial leadership within technology, maritime, aviation, or transport sectors
- Proven track record of driving multi-million-dollar revenue growth and winning complex, global deals
- Expert in contracting, tendering, and high-value negotiations
- Experienced in scale-up or high-growth environments, leading international sales expansion
- Deep understanding of SaaS, managed services, and solution-based commercial models
- Excellent commercial judgment, able to balance growth ambition with risk and profitability
- Confident and credible communicator at the C-suite level
- Fluent in English; additional languages a plus

Education
Bachelors degree in Business, Law, Finance, or related field (required).
