Backend Developer

EMCD is a global technology leader in the crypto industry, best known as the #1 mining pool in Eastern Europe and a Top-10 mining pool worldwide. We are expanding globally and building a comprehensive ecosystem of crypto services, including payment infrastructure, custody, mining solutions and enterprise-grade tools for businesses and institutions. As part of our expansion, we are launching new strategic directions focused on building the next generation of mining and financial infrastructure.

We are looking for a Backend Developer to join a product team responsible for referral-driven growth. You will build and evolve production backend services that handle real user traffic and directly impact user acquisition, working closely with product and engineering teams on reliable, scalable solutions.

About the Team

The team is responsible for referral products and related internal services. The primary business goal of the team is to acquire new users through the referral program.

Responsibilities

• Participate in designing technical solutions
• Develop and maintain backend code
• Write unit tests
• Deploy services to production and support them in operation

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience in backend development
• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang), with experience building and maintaining production services
• Hands-on experience with Kafka (producers/consumers, partitioning, consumer groups)
• Experience developing and maintaining gRPC-based services
• Experience designing and working with microservice architectures
• Solid knowledge of design patterns and clean code principles
• Experience with Prometheus (metrics collection and analysis)
• Experience building and maintaining monitoring dashboards (Grafana or similar tools)
• Understanding of observability principles: metrics, logs, and alerts
