Role: Cloud Platform Lead/Manager

Location: Dublin City Center

Work Type: Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Rate: 550-600 per day (Circa 130k per annum)

Type: Daily rate contract

Job Description

We are looking for a Cloud Engineering Lead to join our team. This is a full-time hybrid role located in Dublin, with flexibility for some remote work. The Cloud Engineering Lead will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions and ensuring their successful deployment. The successful candidate will work closely with other teams and must be comfortable communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. a few other responsbilities incluce:

  • You will be responsible for leading multiple teams of highly skilled Engineers, Architects and Managers
  • You will defining, execute and own the Cloud Platform Engineering strategy for the business.
  • You will be responsbile for development, enahncement and upgrading of the Cloud Platform team structure and operating model,
  • You will development, growth and mentor both junior and mid level Engineers.
  • You will assess, manage partner and vendor relationships

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a relevant field
  • You should have gained over 5 years of experience working in a similar Cloud Engineering role with at least 3 years in a Lead or Manageral role.
  • Strong exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform is a must.
  • Extensive experience with infrastructure as code (IAC), automation and configuration management tools, such as Terraform, Ansible or Puppet.
  • Along with experience working with some if not all of the likes of Terraform, Red Hat (RHEL), Agile Methodologies, System Administration, Security and Ansib
  • Strong experience in containerization and microservices (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Excellent knowledge in scripting, automation as well as networking principles and protocols
  • Experience in leading and mentoring teams, and good project management skills
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps concepts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
