Job: Data Analyst Manager

Location: Dublin, Ireland

Role type: Contract

Term: 12 months+

Working type: 1-2 days onsite per week. 

We are looking for a talented Data Analytics Lead for a large transformational project that will transform the organisation from a relatively closed and siloed organisation with respect to data into being one that gets maximum value from its data. From a data perspective this will be achieved by creating data products that improve decision making and by making data available to all that could reasonably want it, in a form that is easy to consume.

The Analytics Lead reports to the Programme Leadership and operates as a business partner to the C-suite and Directors in the assigned business area.

Required skills:

  • 5 years+ experience in the use of data & analytics in the assign line business area
  • 10 years+ experience in the use of data & analytics in general, including significant experience of delivering data products
  • Strong demonstrable experience of building relationships across a wide range colleagues, up to C suite
  • Ability to explain complex analytical approaches to colleagues without a data and analytics background
  • Working knowledge of a variety of airline or functional business strategies
  • Advanced level of proficiency in use of Microsoft Office suite Including Project, Visio, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Proven experience of working with iterative product delivery methodologies including Waterfall & Agile
  • Initiative-taking, driven, pragmatic individual, completely focused on outcome delivery for business benefit
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally at levels up to Director and C Suite, and ability to make complex execution problems simple to the business. Must be capable of understanding and communicating the big picture."

Key responsibilities & duties include:

Leadership

  • Lead thinking in how to create the most value from data and analytics in the line department, forming that vision into an agreed strategy and roadmap
  • Persuade the DDO Leadership and all colleagues across DDO of the merits of the strategy and roadmap
  • Work closely with the delivery capability in DDO to create a high-level delivery plan that satisfies both DDO Leadership and line department C-level and Directors
  • Ensure that the DDO resources fully understand the overall objectives and business rationale behind the strategy and roadmap

Customer Relationship Management

  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the assigned line department, cultivating successful relationships with senior stakeholders to ensure key deliverables are aligned to the requirements and priorities of key stakeholders.
  • Provide a focal point for the DDO program, acting as an escalation point where necessary and resolving issues to the mutual satisfaction of key stakeholders.
  • Ensure transparent and accurate regular reporting on the DDO initiatives for the line department.

Internal Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with the DDO team to:
    • Leadership: ensure understanding of proposed strategy, roadmap and delivery approach
    • Delivery: agree how requirements are to be delivered
    • Platform: provide views on appropriate platform and architect approaches
    • Change: ensure the Change Team are aware of strategy/roadmap/delivery activities and contribute as required through comms, training, process design, etc
