Job: Test Engineer

Location: Sandyford, South Dublin

Salary: 40,000 / 200 per day

Working type: On Site 5 days a week

Type: 12 month+ contract

We are looking for a talented Test Automation Engineer to join our banking customer's dynamic team, responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of their customers banking network. This role involves manually testing the likes of ATM machines, assessing the ATM Network and checking for software upgrades. You will move the test process to writing automated tests and managing the automation testing process. This role is for the more ambitious as the business are keen to take on someone eager to progress their career, learn and grow in the role to assume more responsibility.

We are looking for people with the below skillset & experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  • Experience with software testing, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, FIS or Paragon software.
  • Competent with Java scripting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on quality and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Reliable, self-motivated and willing to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ideally some knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Test ATMs for software upgrades, ensuring compatibility and functionality across various models and configurations
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts to validate ATM software performance and functionality
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify and report defects, and work together to resolve issues
  • Manage the automation testing process, including creating and maintaining automated test suites, and monitoring test results
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools and techniques, and recommend solutions to improve the testing process
  • Contribute to the development of test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testing-related issues
  • Ensure that all testing activities are conducted in accordance with the bank's policies and procedures
