Job: IT Support Technician

Location: Newbridge, Co Kildare

Salary: 30-40k

Type: Permanent job

Working model: Hybrid (3 days in office)

We are looking for a talented IT support technician who will report to the IT Infrastructure & Network Manager. You will provide high-quality technical support to end-users across the our clients teams. This role involves ensuring seamless operation of IT systems, maintaining network security, and delivering excellent customer service to a user base of approximately 250 people.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the IT Helpdesk team to provide support for:
  • Microsoft 365
  • WAN & LAN networks
  • Firewalls
  • VMWare & Windows Server
  • Windows 10/11 support and deployment
  • OS and software patching
  • A variety of business applications
  • Uphold best practices in IT security across the network.
  • Maintain and support local and wide area networks.
  • Assist in updating and testing the Business Continuity Plan as needed.
  • Provide out-of-hours support and travel between a few locations around Ireland as required.
  • Adhere to procurement processes when purchasing hardware and software.
  • Research, source, and implement software/hardware solutions as needed.

Skills and Experience:

  • IT Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • 1-2 years experience as a computer technician or in a similar role.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication abilities and a thorough understanding of computer systems and IT components.
  • Experience with LAN/WAN networks.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment
