We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a FM Consultant. As part of their continued growth across the Middle East, they are now seeking an exceptional Facilities Management (FM) Consultant. This is a high-profile role that will see you working closely with the Head of Consultancy along with major clients, architects, engineers and project managers to provide expert FM input during the early design and construction stages of major developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert FM input from RIBA Stages 24 to ensure operational efficiency and maintainability in design
  • Assess design elements for long-term FM impact, including system interdependencies, sustainability, and lifecycle cost
  • Ensure seamless integration of CAFM, BMS, and smart building systems from a facilities operations perspective
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure FM requirements are built into projects from the outset
  • Develop operational readiness strategies, maintenance plans, and risk mitigation approaches tailored to each project
  • Promote energy efficiency, sustainability, and digital innovation in all FM design strategies
  • Drive best practice in preventative and corrective maintenance planning during early project phases

About You:

  • Degree-qualified in Engineering or a related discipline
  • Professionally certified in Facilities Management (e.g., IFMA, CFM) or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of RIBA stages and experience contributing FM insights during design and construction phases
  • Technically proficient with CAFM systems (e.g., Planon, Maximo, Archibus), BIM platforms, and sustainability standards (LEED, BREEAM, ISO 50001)
  • Additional certifications such as PMP, Prince2, or CEM are highly desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder engagement, and project leadership skills
  • Previous experience working across the Middle East or in a multi-cultural, international context is advantageous
