About the job Senior Instrument Engineer

The Senior Instrument Engineer will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the design, development, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems for upstream oil and gas projects. The role involves preparing and reviewing engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with project specifications and international standards, and supporting project execution to achieve safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
  • Registered Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 5 years as a Senior Instrument Engineer.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control system design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Experienced in reviewing P&IDs, control philosophies, instrument data sheets, and system architecture.
  • Familiar with relevant international standards and codes (ISA, IEC, API, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to support multidisciplinary teams and ensure quality, safety, and compliance of all instrument engineering deliverables.
