Project HSE Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) activities throughout project execution.
• Ensure compliance with client HSE specifications, company standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE procedures, risk assessments, safe work practices, and emergency response plans.
• Carry out HSE inspections, audits, incident investigations, and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Promote a strong HSE culture and provide guidance to project teams, contractors, and relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate and engage with clients, authorities, and internal teams on all HSE-related matters.
• Support project delivery while maintaining safe operations and environmental compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience within the Oil & Gas industry, preferably with exposure to upstream projects.
• Good understanding of Malaysian HSE regulations and internationally recognised industry standards.
• Experience handling HSE requirements for offshore and/or onshore upstream operations.
• Possession of relevant HSE certifications such as NIOSH, SHO, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Strong leadership capability with good communication and stakeholder management skills.
