About the job Marine CSR
The Marine CSR is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring corporate social responsibility programs and initiatives related to marine and offshore operations. This role ensures that the organization operates sustainably, meets regulatory and community expectations, and supports environmental, social, and safety stewardship in marine projects.
The Marine CSR works closely with HSE, marine operations, project management, and external stakeholders to integrate CSR initiatives into operational planning and ensure positive social and environmental impact.
Description
- Develop, implement, and manage marine-related CSR programs aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Monitor compliance with environmental, social, and safety standards for marine operations.
- Liaise with local communities, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders to foster positive engagement.
- Support sustainability initiatives such as marine biodiversity protection, pollution prevention, and community development programs.
- Conduct awareness campaigns and training for staff and contractors on CSR and environmental stewardship.
- Prepare and submit CSR reports, metrics, and impact assessments to management and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate CSR considerations into offshore operations and marine projects.
- Monitor marine environmental impact, including vessel operations, waste management, and ecosystem protection.
- Support audits and inspections related to CSR, environmental, or sustainability compliance.
- Advise management on risk mitigation, sustainability improvements, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Marine Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years experience in CSR, sustainability, or environmental management, preferably within the marine, offshore, or oil & gas sector. Experience in offshore or marine operations is preferable.
- Possess the following certificate is advantage
- Environmental Management certifications (e.g., ISO 14001)
- CSR or Sustainability certifications (e.g., GRI Standards, UN SDGs)
- Offshore HSE certifications (if frequent site visits are required, e.g., BOSIET/HUET)
- Knowledge of marine biodiversity, conservation programs, or sustainable shipping practices.
- Familiarity with GRI, UN SDGs, or other international CSR reporting frameworks.
- Knowledge of marine environmental regulations, ISO standards, and CSR frameworks.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel to project or offshore sites as needed
