Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise in the design, specification, selection, and evaluation of rotating equipment for oil & gas facilities.
  • Support FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, Brownfield Modification, and Facility Upgrade projects.
  • Prepare, review, and approve engineering deliverables, including technical specifications, datasheets, calculations, and material requisitions.
  • Perform technical bid evaluations and review vendor proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Review and approve vendor documentation, drawings, and engineering packages related to rotating equipment.
  • Ensure engineering designs comply with applicable codes, standards, company specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, constructability reviews, and multidisciplinary engineering workshops.
  • Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and start-up activities.
  • Troubleshoot rotating equipment performance issues and provide engineering solutions to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate and liaise with project teams, operations, maintenance personnel, EPC contractors, OEMs, and third-party consultants.
  • Support the safe and cost-effective execution of projects while maintaining high engineering and technical standards.

Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, or Energy industry.
  • Strong experience in rotating equipment engineering design and project execution.
  • Proven experience in FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, and Brownfield Modification Projects.
  • Hands-on experience with rotating equipment such as:
    • Centrifugal Pumps
    • Positive Displacement Pumps
    • Gas Compressors
    • Steam and Gas Turbines
    • Blowers and Fans
  • Strong knowledge of international engineering codes and standards, including:
    • API 610
    • API 617
    • API 618
    • API 682
    • ASME Standards
    • Relevant ISO Standards
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing:
    • Technical Specifications
    • Equipment Datasheets
    • Material Requisitions
    • Technical Bid Evaluations
    • Vendor Documentation
  • Experience in vendor package review, technical clarification, and supplier management.
  • Familiarity with equipment performance analysis, reliability improvement, vibration monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting offshore production facilities, gas processing facilities, FPSO, FSO, or upstream Oil & Gas assets.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, EPC contractors, OEMs, and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.
    Previous experience with an Oil & Gas Operator, EPC Contractor, or Engineering Consultancy is preferred.
