About the job Principal Flow Assurance Engineer
Responsibilities
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for flow assurance in subsea and offshore developments.
- Lead and provide technical direction on flow assurance studies, analyses, and design inputs for subsea production systems.
- Address flow assurance challenges including hydrates, wax, asphaltenes, scale, corrosion, slugging, erosion, and transient operations.
- Support concept selection, FEED, detailed design, and operational phases with flow assurance inputs.
- Provide operational support and troubleshooting for existing subsea and offshore assets to ensure production reliability and integrity.
- Develop and review operating philosophies, start-up and shutdown procedures, and flow assurance management strategies.
- Interface with multidisciplinary teams, clients, vendors, and contractors to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
- Review contractor deliverables, reports, and calculations to ensure compliance with project and industry standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing and capability development within the team.
- Support proposal development, technical presentations, and client engagements as part of consultancy services.
Requirement
- Possess at least a recognized Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
- Registered Engineer with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) for local candidates.
- Minimum 13 years of relevant flow assurance experience in the oil and gas industry.
- At least 5 years of relevant subsea experience, preferably in deepwater developments.
- Strong technical expertise in subsea production systems and flow assurance challenges.
- Experience supporting FPSO, subsea tie-back, or deepwater field developments is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
