Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage pipeline engineering activities for both onshore and offshore oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements, PETRONAS Technical Standards, and international codes.
  • Develop, review, and validate pipeline design deliverables including route selection, wall thickness calculations, material selection, stress analysis, and pipeline integrity assessments.
  • Oversee and coordinate multidisciplinary inputs during all project phasesconceptual, FEED, detailed design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Ensure that engineering design, specifications, and deliverables meet technical, safety, and quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and ensure alignment with project objectives and best engineering practices.
  • Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, and constructability studies.
  • Support procurement, construction, and installation teams by reviewing vendor data, material specifications, and construction methodologies.
  • Manage change control, design verification, and as-built documentation to ensure traceability and project integrity.
  • Contribute to lessons learned, standardization, and improvement of pipeline engineering and project management practices.

Requirements

  • Recognized Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering.
  • Registered Professional Engineer with BEM / IEM (Malaysia).
  • Minimum seven (7) years of practical experience in upstream oil and gas projects (onshore, offshore, facilities, and pipeline).
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a Senior Engineer position within oil and gas projects.
  • Vast knowledge and experience in project management of onshore and offshore engineering design works.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline design codes and standards (ASME B31.4, B31.8, DNV-ST-F101, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills in a multidisciplinary project environment.
  • Proven ability to manage design integrity, schedule, and quality for complex pipeline projects.
