Senior Procurement Officer

Position : Senior Procurement Officer

Industry : Oil & Gas

Location : Kuala Lumpur

Scope of Work(s):

• Lead and manage end-to-end procurement processes for goods and services.
• Prepare, issue, and evaluate tenders and purchase orders in line with company procedures.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with PSC, JDA, or RSC contractual frameworks.
• Monitor supplier performance and manage vendor relationships effectively.
• Provide procurement analysis and reports to support decision-making.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records.
• Support audits, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and guide junior procurement staff when required.

Minimum Requirement(s):

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 10 years of practical experience in procurement within upstream oil and gas companies.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Procurement Analyst.
• Working experience in PSC, JDA, or RSC companies is required.
• Strong knowledge of PETRONAS procurement requirements and procedures.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficient in procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications.
