Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) Operator to support offshore seismic operations by monitoring marine mammal activity using acoustic detection systems and assisting with environmental mitigation measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) systems during offshore operations.
- Monitor and interpret acoustic data for marine mammal detection.
- Coordinate with Marine Mammal Observers on mitigation activities.
- Maintain and troubleshoot PAM equipment.
- Prepare monitoring logs and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and project procedures.
Requirements
- Certified Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) Operator.
- Experience operating PAM systems in offshore environments.
- Knowledge of marine mammal acoustics and mitigation protocols.
- Good reporting and communication skills.
- Good command of English.
- Able to work offshore on a rotational basis.
