Project Assignment: Supporting Onshore & Offshore Drilling Operations in Oman

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Drilling Superintendent to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of drilling operations for an international upstream oil & gas project. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, ensure operational excellence, and oversee drilling activities from planning through execution while supporting operations in Oman.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead drilling operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective project execution.
  • Review drilling programs, operational procedures, and well plans.
  • Coordinate drilling activities with contractors, service providers, and project teams.
  • Monitor operational performance and resolve drilling-related challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Manage drilling resources, equipment, materials, and operational schedules.
  • Support incident investigations and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor drilling engineers and provide technical guidance throughout project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience as a Drilling Superintendent.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in deepwater drilling operations.
  • Valid IWCF Level 4 certification.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Willing to travel and support operations in Oman.
