Descriptions

  • Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with local regulations and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to management and employees on HSE matters, including training, awareness campaigns, and toolbox talks.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain and analyze HSE records, including incident reports, training records, and inspection findings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with HSE requirements, conducting pre-qualification assessments and regular performance evaluations.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop plans to minimize the environmental footprint of operations, including waste management and pollution control.
  • Keep up-to-date with relevant HSE regulations and industry standards, communicating changes to management and implementing necessary updates to policies and procedures.
  • Participate in emergency response planning and drills, ensuring preparedness for potential incidents or disasters.
  • Produce regular reports on HSE performance, including key metrics, trends, and improvement opportunities, and present findings to management.

Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Professional certifications in HSE are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE roles within the oil & gas industry, focusing on EPCC projects and FPSO operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of local HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, with the capability to influence and drive change.
  • Proficient in using HSE management systems and software.
  • Ability to conduct training sessions and deliver engaging HSE presentations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites as required.
