About the job Business Development Executive

  • Reporting to Head, Business & Commercial and second reporting line to VP, Sales
  • Accountable to develop businesses and reach business targets.
  • Accountable to maintain strong customers relationship and develop new customers base.
  • Work closely with internal colleagues in delivering impactful business development activities.
  • Targeted segment is the Energy industry in Malaysia and managements targeted market.

Main Activities

  • Identifying business opportunities with the business & commercial team.
  • Engaging clients, identifying business opportunities, and developing opportunities into sales. This is done through client relationships, networking, cold calls, sales emails, marketing campaigns and other business development initiatives.
  • Identifying high chance business opportunities and continuously following up sales process secure business. (Example: Ensuring email conversations lead to presentation, presentation to lead to proposal delivery, proposal to lead to contract award and to continue to expand and build business post contract award.)
  • Facilitating pre-sales presentation, technical Q&A, and after-sales support services.
  • Delivering business proposals to best meet clients needs in terms of quality, price and delivery timeline.
  • Assisting in tender activities including preparation and submission of Market Surveys, RFQs, RFPs and Technical and Commercial Bid Proposal.
  • Working closely with recruiters to source candidates to meet requirements of clients pre- and post- contract award.
  • Maximizing and optimizing utilization of existing contracts.
  • Maintaining strong relationship with clients to build and expand long term business.
  • Assisting in company marketing & branding initiatives such as articles, social media marketing posts, email blast campaigns, attending or creating networking events and producing webinar sessions.

Requirement

  • Any degree or diploma with minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar role in Sales / Business Development / Marketing in business environment.
  • Experiences in sales & business development in talent solutions such as recruitment, payroll and manpower services are an advantage.
  • Persistency and ability in generating leads / sales / business.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Client focused along with relationship building skills.
