Insulation Inspector

Note:

• This is a contract basis position until May 2026, with optional 12-month extension
• Overseas Allowance is entitled and all-inclusive
• Overtime Allowance is entitled
• Accommodation is provided

Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections for insulation installation on piping, equipment, and structural components.
• Ensure compliance with PETRONAS specifications and international standards.
• Verify surface conditions and material suitability before insulation application.
• Monitor installation methods and environmental conditions to ensure quality standards are met.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, and quality documentation.
• Identify and report any non-conformities or deviations from project requirements.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams, contractors, and client representatives to resolve quality issues.
• Support punch list verification and final handover documentation.
• Ensure all work activities are carried out safely and in accordance with HSE policies.
• Assist in reviewing and verifying contractor QA/QC documentation.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Vocational Certificate in a relevant technical or engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 minor projects, more than 5 moderate projects, and more than 10 major projects.
• Possess one (1) of the following certifications:
  • NACE Coating Inspector Level 2
  • IMM Level 2

  • SSPC PCI Level 2

  • FROSIO Level 3

• Strong knowledge of insulation systems, materials, and application standards.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, project specifications, and quality plans.
• Experience in offshore fabrication or LNG/FLNG projects preferred.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with HSE practices and inspection documentation procedures.
