About the job Cost Controller (Wells)

Job Purpose:

  • Monitoring the spending of all wells and steward it against Approval for Expenditure (AFE) & Approved Contract Value (ACV).
  • Preparation of Daily Cost Tracking system.
  • Involved in Material Management Process i.e., material coding, material category, unit of measure, stock count procedure, etc.
  • Analyses AFEs and allocate common cost to respective wells using agreed/acceptable basis of allocation.
  • Ensure materials used i.e. Long-lead Equipment are charged correctly to the wells.
  • Review 3rd party invoices as per contract.
  • Monitoring fuel consumption & mud chemicals usage on daily basis and allocated to the respective wells.
  • Work closely with the engineers & Materials Coordinator within Wells Delivery team to track materials movement and generate accounting entries whenever necessary.
  • Prepare monthly Value of work Done (VOWD) well by well basis.
  • Review, track & verify invoices received against contracts and actual material usage.
  • Focal point in ensuring all established internal control procedures is followed closely.
  • Visiting Kemaman Supply Base (KSB) as and when required for stock count purposes.
  • End of well reconciliation.
  • Review AFE prior to campaign commencement for approval.

Qualification:

  • Degree in Business / Information Management/ Accounting or equivalent from university
  • Minimum experienced of five (5) years in oil & gas industry with two (2) years with an operator
  • Computer literate: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), MS Teams and finance / material software and databases (SAP, Maximo, Sun Systems, etc.)
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both spoken and written
