Position: SSHE Specialist
Role Purpose:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SSHE (Safety, Security, Health & Environment) Specialist to lead and implement effective HSE strategies across operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in health and safety, engineering, or environmental science, and be certified in recognized international HSE standards. This role will be responsible for managing and improving SSHE performance across all phases of oil and gas activities upstream, midstream, and downstream.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in managing health, safety, and environmental programs.
- Minimum 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role within the oil and gas industry, covering upstream, midstream, or downstream operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health, safety, security, and environmental (SSHE) plans and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
- Promote safety awareness through training, briefings, and toolbox talks.
- Monitor SSHE performance and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure readiness.
- Support project teams in managing SSHE during operations and shutdowns.
- Liaise with authorities, clients, and contractors on SSHE matters.
- Ensure proper implementation of ISO 45001 and related HSE systems.
Qualification And Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent discipline.
- Holds valid certifications in:
- NEBOSH
- OSHA
- ISO 45001
