About the job Process Engineer

Job Description:

  • Study, configure, design and optimize any process improvement defined in project scope during Front End Loading or Detail Engineering stage to meet project objectives such as debottlenecking, plant improvement, regulatory compliance, safety assurance, and etc in Downstream projects.
  • Assure the Process Design engineering aspects of the facilities are developed base on fit for purpose & meet ALARP by executing design for operations relating to the development of technology solutions in the area of yield improvement, hydrocarbon molecule management, energy efficiency improvement and hydrocarbon loss minimization in order to achieve operational excellence through integration of production operations compliance with corporate governance and Health Safety & Environment Management System (HSEMS).

Qualification/Skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years working experience with experience in oil and gas industry will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum Degree in Chemical Engineering disciplines or equivalent.
  • Fully conversant to the contract requirements, quality and HSE requirement by COMPANY
  • Fully conversant in various aspects of Downstream technology or operating plant. For example, Gas Processing or Gas Treating, Water treatment or Utilities, Refinery, LNG Petchem etc (Onshore Project).
  • Fully conversant in various aspects of Upstream Fluids' phase behaviour and characterization, Oil & Gas Processing, Gas Treating, Water treatment (Produced Water and Injection Water) and Utilities (Offshore Project).
  • Conversant in aspects of Flow Assurance (FA). Able to conduct studies and propose solutions.
  • Fully conversant in standards and methodologies involved in Process Design, such as preparation of Heat & Material Balance, Flowsheeting (PFD, P&ID), equipment sizing, Safeguarding, Relief & Blowdown, corrosion mitigation, process datasheets.
  • Conversant in process safety tools and methodology, i.e. HAZID, HAZOP, IPF, HAC, QRA, LOPA.
  • Competent in start-up and commissioning activities.
