We are hiring on behalf of our client for a Junior Wells Engineer to support ongoing well intervention programs.

Role Overview:

  • Seeking a Junior Wells Engineer with 4-5 years of experience in slickline operations and well intervention services.
  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing slickline operations, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations and operational excellence.
  • May be required to act as an Offshore Supervisor when necessary, overseeing intervention activities to ensure smooth execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute slickline well intervention operations, including well integrity diagnostics, production enhancement, and mechanical interventions.
  • Coordinate with service providers, offshore/onshore teams, and key stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of slickline activities.
  • Prepare and review slickline programs, risk assessments, and operational procedures in compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and report slickline job performance, identifying potential improvements and lessons learned.
  • Ensure all HSE and regulatory requirements are met for well intervention activities.
  • Provide technical support during job execution, troubleshooting operational challenges as needed.
  • Assist in post-job analysis, documentation, and performance reviews for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the Sr. Well Services Engineer, Production Enhancement team, and Subsurface teams to optimize well intervention strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification.
  • 4-5 years of experience in well intervention, with a strong focus on slickline operations.
  • Familiarity with slickline tools, equipment, and well servicing techniques (e.g., pulling and setting plugs, memory logging, tubing drift runs, valve shifting, etc.).
  • Knowledge of well integrity, well control, and intervention best practices.
  • Strong understanding of HSE regulations and compliance related to well interventions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced offshore and onshore environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
