Responsibilities

  • Assist in development and implementation of company net zero road map, sustainability strategy linked to UNSGD Sustainable Development Goals and 2030 Emission Target.
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify opportunities for improving sustainability performance and reducing environmental impact from decentralized approach to a more structured approach.
  • Lead the implementation of sustainability management through performance tracking, monitoring, verification of data and reporting.
  • Lead sustainability programs and initiatives to improve awareness and knowledge on various aspects of sustainability, enhance the Company's visibility, and achieve industry recognition through awards.
  • Focal person in ensuring that the sustainability programs and initiatives are aligned and in compliance with company Corporate Sustainability Policy and practice, Local States and Federal Environmental Regulations and Standards.
  • Collect and analyze data for sustainability reporting and other stakeholder communication.
  • Measuring and reporting accurate records of sustainability metrics and ensure transparency in reporting.
  • Design and implement awareness and education program for employees.
  • Promote awareness, understanding and engagement amongst employees on sustainability issues and company initiatives through training, workshops and communications.
  • Monitor emerging trends and regulations to ensure proactive risk management.
  • Assess and identify risk and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Research and recommend innovative sustainability solutions and best practices.
  • Benchmark Company's sustainability performance against industry standards.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including PETRONAS, JV Partners, Regulatory bodies, Communities and Employees.

Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or a related field preferably within the oil and gas industry.
  • Understanding of environmental regulations, sustainability reporting frameworks and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and sustainability softwares.
  • Experience in developing carbon reduction roadmaps and identification of Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emission
  • Experience in planning and strategy in O&G is an added advantage
  • Passionate about climate change, energy transition and GHG emission reduction.
