Responsibilities

  • Serve as the foremost on-site advocate for safety and the primary representative for all offshore marine roving logistics activities.
    Meticulously coordinate and strictly supervise the execution of the Companys logistics plans and marine HSE improvement plan with an uncompromising focus on safety during vessel movements, equipment mobilization and demobilization, personnel transfers and cargo handling.
  • Proactively liaise with offshore personnel, vessel crews, contractors and internal departments (e.g., HSE, SCM, operations) to ensure all logistics activities are conducted with the utmost regard for safety.
  • Diligently monitor and report on the progress of logistics operations, immediately identifying and addressing any potential safety hazards, incidents or deviations from safety procedures.
  • Ensure strict and unwavering compliance with all relevant safety regulations, company safety policies, and environmental protection standards.
  • Ensure records availability of all logistics activities, including but not limited to safety checklists, incident reports (if any), manifests, vessel logs, UCUA and equipment inventories, ensuring all documentation reflects adherence to safety protocols.
  • Conduct frequent and thorough site safety inspections to proactively identify potential hazards and verify strict adherence to operational and safety regulations.
  • Actively participate in the development and rigorous implementation of enhanced logistics procedures and safety best practices.
  • Expertly troubleshoot logistical challenges while always prioritizing safety in the implementation of effective and timely solutions.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports on logistics activities and safety performance to relevant stakeholders, highlighting safety observations and improvement initiatives.
  • Manage on-site communication flow, ensuring all parties are thoroughly informed of relevant operational and safety updates including any potential hazards or changes in safety procedures.
  • Potentially lead small on-site logistics teams or coordinate the activities of third-party service providers, ensuring all personnel operate with a strong safety mindset.

Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Logistics, Maritime Studies, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience of demonstrable experience in offshore marine logistics, supply chain management or a similar role within the oil and gas or maritime industry with a proven track record of prioritizing and enforcing safety.
  • Comprehensive understanding of offshore vessel operations, cargo handling, and marine transportation, with a deep awareness of associated safety risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Thorough and demonstrable knowledge of relevant HSE regulations and uncompromising adherence to best practices in offshore environments.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to clearly and persuasively communicate safety protocols and expectations.
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment, always maintaining a strong focus on safety.
  • Robust problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a commitment to making safety the paramount consideration.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and IT systems for logistics management and reporting, including any safety management systems.
  • Valid offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET/FOET) are mandatory along with any other relevant safety certifications.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to and work at offshore locations and project sites as required with an unwavering commitment to adhering to all site-specific safety regulations.
