Key Objectives:
Assist and support the Advisor for Communications Management and the Head of GRC and Public Affairs (PLS/G) in managing all aspects of communications, including Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, internal and external communications, media relations, and corporate branding/identity, while ensuring alignment with the organization's business strategies and operations.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Community Relations: Work with government and community liaison departments to create and develop a positive working relationship with communities, civil, and environmental organizations.
- CSR and Events Management: Assist in outlining, developing, coordinating, executing, and supporting CSR programs and events that are aligned with the Companys CSR pillars and business objectives.
- Editorial, Communication and Branding Management: Assist crafting internal and external communications, including speeches, articles, press releases, collateral materials, and other related content. Assist in reviewing corporate-level internal communication produced by other divisions and compile content for both internal and external publications. Support engagements with key stakeholders to ensure all communication materials align with the company's policies, corporate image, and branding. Assist in ensuring the consistent application of the company's brand across all communications, maintaining brand standards, managing corporate identity guidelines and messaging consistency.
- Intranet Management: Manage and maintain the company's intranet platform, ensuring it serves as a central hub for internal communication. This includes updating content, ensuring accessibility, and promoting engagement among employees. Collaborate with IT and other departments to share important updates, company news, and resources, enhancing internal communication and fostering a connected, informed workforce.
- Sponsorship: Handle requests for sponsorship, donations, and other forms of corporate contributions as well as ensure overall coordination for approved and non-approved sponsorships or donations.
- Media Relations and Crisis Communications: Assist in developing and maintaining a comprehensive media database, good and strong working relations with the members of the media, including local and national newspapers, magazines, radio, and television. Manage and monitor closely the media and social media channels, draft and compile news reports of the industry and where we operate. Provide public relations and media management support as and when required, especially during a crisis.
- Unit Management: Support in preparing and supervising the production of branding materials i.e. brochures, posters, videos, and photographs. Archiving and updating the corporate library of photographs and videos. Manage the stock of publications, corporate gifts, administrative assistance, etc.
- Vendor Management: Support in the renewals or award of contracts to vendors or contractors for projects and deliverables relating to the unit. The incumbent is to monitor the expiry of contracts and work closely with relevant focal person for renewals or award of contracts to ensure the continuity of the units support to the Company.
- Reports: Collaborate with other divisions, assist in preparing reports and ensure timely submission to support the Companys business operations.
- Attend to ad-hoc requests and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Degree in Business Administration, Mass Communications or equivalent with at least 8 years working experience.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and verbal.
- Able to work independently, resourceful and multitask.
- A good team player and able to work under minimum supervision.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
- Good computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, SharePoint and social media.
- Knowledge in design is an advantage but not compulsory.
