Job Openings Reservoir Engineer

About the job Reservoir Engineer

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, maintenance and history matching of fit-for-purpose dynamic reservoir simulation models. Utilize classical reservoir engineering techniques e.g. material balance and decline curves as appropriate to support the model.
  • To work as an integrated team member with geoscientists, drilling and production engineers to monitor field performance and optimize production.
  • Provide input into Field Development Plans (e.g. forecasted production profiles, well count, data acquisition plans etc.).
  • Assess opportunities for future infill wells, workovers and near-field exploration targets and prepare recommendations, well proposals, and AFEs as appropriate.
  • Attend relevant internal and external reviews with shareholders, MTJA and reserves auditors and other ad-hoc technical meetings.
  • Develop production profiles and reserve booking for input in to shareholders and MTJA reporting systems.
  • With key focus on delivering dynamic models and reservoir engineering interpretations to optimize field development and hydrocarbon recovery

Job requirements:

  • Honor Degree or M.Sc in Engineering or related discipline with formal training courses in various reservoir engineering functions
  • 12 years or more work experience in relevant reservoir engineering disciplines.
  • Good understanding of petroleum geology, geophysics, petrophysics, reservoir engineering and production.
  • Proficient in dynamic modelling, history matching and sensitivity analysis using Eclipse or similar software
  • Experience in field development planning, economic evaluation and proposing and implementing successful reservoir management plans
