The Transportation Executive plays a crucial role in supporting the Marine and Aviation section within the logistics department, ensuring seamless operational execution and technical proficiency. This role focuses mainly on technical support and with operations capacity, working closely with the Section Head in strategizing and optimizing transportation processes for COMPANY operations.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day marine and aviation operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Oversee the scheduling of offshore transportincluding vessels and helicoptersto support exploration and production activities.
- Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and safety of transportation services, troubleshooting operational challenges as needed.
- Liaise with key stakeholders, including offshore teams, logistics vendors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure seamless coordination and execution.
- Provide technical expertise in evaluating marine and aviation assets, ensuring optimum performance and compliance with international standards.
- Support the Section Head in developing strategic improvements for transportation efficiency, cost management, and sustainability.
- Conduct technical assessments on fleet capabilities, aircraft specifications, and vessel suitability for offshore logistics needs.
- Assist in the procurement and contract management of marine and aviation services, ensuring vendors meet company and industry specifications.
- Collaborate on transportation optimization strategies, incorporating the latest industry technologies and regulatory updates.
- Analyze and report on transportation KPIs, contributing to data-driven decision-making for future planning.
- Identify the difficulties/gaps of work processes/systems and propose efficient solutions for improvement.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of continuous process enhancement throughout Logistics coverage.
- Prepare Release Order and Good receipt into SAP. (Logistics and Finance).
- Receive, verify, update and distribute all incoming invoices in a timely manner and are prepared as per company procedure and requirements.
- Ensure proper filing, distribution, transmission and registration of contract documents (hard and softcopy) from various disciplines, consultants, contractors, vendors, etc. are executed for effective traceability.
- Implement documentation filing, records and updates to ensure documents are kept in the electronic database for softcopy retrieval
- Assist in the negotiation and administration of contracts with logistics service providers.
- Ensure contract compliance and adherence to service level agreements.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in Logistics, Transportation Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marine and aviation transportation, preferably within the oil & gas sector.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Competencies:
- Strong technical knowledge of offshore transportation operations, aviation regulations, and marine logistics.
- Familiarity with HSE standards, IMO (International Maritime Organization) regulations, and ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) guidelines.
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in transportation modeling and strategic planning.
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Good analytical, systematic and trouble shooting skills
- Ability to use PC and common business software
