Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining the project Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) program in accordance with client, company, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all project activities comply with approved quality standards, specifications, and procedures throughout engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Review and approve QA/QC documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Control Procedures, Method Statements, and related records.
- Coordinate and conduct quality audits, inspections, and surveillance activities at fabrication yards, construction sites, and vendor facilities.
- Identify and report non-conformances, initiate corrective and preventive actions, and follow up on resolution to ensure continual quality improvement.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and third-party inspectors to ensure alignment on quality expectations and requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of quality plans, inspection programs, and welding/NDT procedures as required for project execution.
- Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and record-keeping of all QA/QC activities in compliance with project and PETRONAS standards.
- Provide technical guidance and training to project personnel to enhance quality awareness and compliance.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality systems and processes across the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Recognized Degree in Engineering or equivalent educational background.
- At least fifteen (15) years of experience in Oil & Gas companies.
- Minimum seven (7) years of practical experience as a QA/QC Engineer.
- Vast experience and knowledge of PETRONAS Technical Requirements for the construction or upgrading of offshore facilities.
- Strong knowledge of international quality standards (ISO 9001, API, ASME, AWS, etc.) and quality management systems.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple inspection and quality activities under demanding project conditions.
- Good communication and leadership abilities to drive quality culture and compliance across the project team.
