Senior Production Technologist

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Production Technologist to join our client on a 1-year contract, based at their Kuala Lumpur office, to drive well performance optimization and production excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise in production technology to optimize well performance and maximize hydrocarbon recovery.
• Design, plan, and evaluate well interventions, stimulation, and production enhancement activities.
• Conduct nodal analysis, inflow/outflow modeling, and well performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with drilling, reservoir, and surface teams to develop and implement production strategies.
• Support field development planning, well completion design, and artificial lift optimization.
• Troubleshoot production issues and propose effective technical solutions.
• Prepare and present technical reports, studies, and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, company policies, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive experience (10 to 25 years) in production technology and well performance management.
• At least 8 years of experience working with a client/operator (E&P company).
• Strong knowledge of well completion design, well intervention, nodal analysis, artificial lift systems, and production optimization.
• Familiarity with petroleum engineering software (e.g., Prosper, GAP, MBAL, Eclipse, OFM).
• Proven track record in delivering production enhancement projects.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.
