About the job Well Intervention Engineer
Responsibilities
- Office-based with regular trips to offshore / onshore drilling unit.
- Plan and direct the non-rig well intervention implementation in line with the approved regional production plans by ensuring comprehensive and accurate technical evaluation of well intervention approach through the most innovative, viable and cost-effective intervention solutions to ensure continuous and sustainable value creation in the organization in accordance with safe practices, and standards (i.e. PPGUA, U-Image, WIMS, WIAG) in achieving project objective with minimum operating cost.
- Keep up to date, implement and comply to latest PETRONAS PTS, PTG and relevant industry standards in wells intervention and integrity operation
- Interface with surveillance, petroleum engineering, technical services, logistics and operations team to effect seamless operations planning, optimization and fast response on operational requirement and changes.
- Improve job efficiency via use of new technologies, data benchmarking, system and process improvement to deliver optimal value to the project
- Reduce NPT and operations cost by identifying problem areas, analyze NPT trends and recommend remedial action.
- Ensure compliance to COMPANY's safety requirement and standards by coordinating and performing equipment and site inspections, acceptance test on well intervention and integrity equipment, materials and supplies.
- Attend to problematic well advice (PWA) raised by Production department in a timely and most productive manner by analyzing and integrating common well problems and its intervention methodologies through consultation with well services technical expertise and surveillance/Petroleum engineering team to avoid interruption to the operations.
- Monitor and control operating cost including manpower and equipment charges from outsourced contractors to ensure optimization of operation expenditures while sustaining productivity.
- Coaching and training of junior Wells Intervention and Integrity engineers.
- To prepare Final Well Report and conduct After Action Review after campaign completion
- To go offshore and onshore for job monitoring and troubleshooting as and when needed
- The incumbent has these competencies and the minimum levels required to perform the job satisfactorily:
- Technical know-how with wells intervention and Integrity from his/her previous field experience.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum ten (10) years' experience in well intervention engineering / operation.
- Attended IWCF Level 4 (Well Intervention).
- Proficiency in well intervention engineering software (i.e.: NOV Cerberus).
