Responsibilities
- Responsible for coordinating and managing all marine-related activities to support offshore construction, installation, and logistical operations.
- Ensure all marine operations are conducted safely and in full compliance with PETRONAS Technical Requirements, project specifications, and international maritime regulations.
- Coordinate marine vessel movements, anchor handling, towing, transportation, and positioning activities for offshore facilities and structures.
- Liaise with marine contractors, vessel masters, and offshore construction teams to ensure effective communication and alignment of marine operations.
- Review and verify marine procedures, risk assessments, and method statements for suitability and compliance.
- Monitor marine spread performance, vessel readiness, and certification to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
- Participate in marine assurance, pre-mobilization inspections, and readiness reviews to verify compliance with project and HSE requirements.
- Provide technical input and guidance during planning, mobilization, execution, and demobilization of marine operations.
- Coordinate marine logistics for personnel, materials, and equipment in support of offshore project execution.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of marine activities, vessel utilization, and operational reports.
- Contribute to post-operation evaluations, lessons learned, and continuous improvement of marine coordination processes.
Requirements
- Minimum recognized Degree in Engineering or equivalent educational background.
- At least fifteen (15) years of experience in Oil & Gas companies.
- Minimum seven (7) years of practical experience as a Marine Coordinator.
- Vast experience and knowledge of PETRONAS Technical Requirements and relevant specifications for the construction or upgrading of offshore facilities.
- Strong knowledge of marine operations, vessel management, and offshore logistics coordination.
- Familiarity with marine industry standards and regulations (IMO, DNV, API, etc.).
- Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills in managing multi-vessel offshore operations.
- Proven capability to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant marine activities under challenging offshore conditions.
