Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing technical expertise in flow assurance to support the design, development, and operation of offshore oil and gas production systems.
  • Perform flow assurance analyses, including multiphase flow modeling, hydrate prediction, wax and asphaltene management, and slugging studies to ensure system reliability and integrity.
  • Support conceptual, front-end engineering design (FEED), and detailed design activities for flowline and pipeline systems.
  • Review and validate flow assurance deliverables, including reports, simulations, and system performance evaluations prepared by contractors and vendors.
  • Provide technical input and recommendations for insulation, heating, chemical injection, and pigging strategies to maintain flow assurance performance.
  • Interface with process, subsea, pipeline, and operations teams to ensure integrated design and operability of the production system.
  • Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, and design review sessions to ensure compliance with safety and operability requirements.
  • Troubleshoot flow assurance issues during commissioning and operations, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all design and operational aspects comply with PETRONAS Technical Requirements, project specifications, and international standards.
  • Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement for future field development projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum recognized Degree in Engineering or equivalent educational background.
  • At least fifteen (15) years of experience in Oil & Gas companies.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of practical experience as a Flow Assurance Engineer.
  • Vast experience and knowledge of PETRONAS Technical Requirements and relevant specifications for the construction or upgrading of offshore facilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with in-depth knowledge of multiphase flow behavior.
  • Proficiency in flow assurance software and simulation tools (e.g., OLGA, PIPESIM, LedaFlow, etc.).
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve complex flow assurance challenges during design and operations.
