Scope of Works:

  • Responsible for the timely delivery of optimum design concept and programs, following the well delivery design process and ensuring all appropriate review and challenge events are completed.
  • Responsible for providing detailed cost estimation and front-end cost management following recognized standards.
  • Perform and deliver all activities and engineering calculation associated with the concept selection process, detailed design and execution planning for new wells, work overs and abandonments.
  • Responsible for assuring the concept selected delivers the lowest lifecycle cost of ownership benchmarked against industry and internal datasets and that the appropriate value challenge and initiatives are executed to maximize performance improvement opportunities.
  • To review Well Completion and Intervention operations planning.
  • To prepare and review operational procedure for each well and propose any improvement plans.
  • To have meetings with all related contractors.
  • To check / inspect contractors equipment/tools in Labuan as required, especially Slickline tools, E-line tools and surface/downhole tools.
  • To join routine morning/afternoon telephone meetings with RIG / HIP.
  • To support COMPANY Manager of Petroleum Engineering and Head of Well Completion & Intervention with technical and logistic matter so that offshore operations can progress smoothly without any down-time.
  • To review Well Completion and Intervention operations and compile all information, then to prepare final Report.
  • Monitor implementation of Well Completion and Intervention objectives, in regards to Safety, Environmental, Quality, Cost and Schedule to identify areas for improvement as well as participation in Hazard Studies and risk assessments as required.
  • To prepare Invitation To Bid (ITB) Packages and conduct evaluations of Well Completion and Intervention related bids and provide input into award recommendations.
  • To Work at offshore as Well Completion and Intervention Supervisor as required by COMPANY.
  • To provide technical and engineering support to COMPANY Manager of Petroleum Engineering and Head of Well Completion and Intervention.
  • To prepare detailed and written Well Completion and Intervention operations job plan for next twenty-four (24) hours, including all engineering calculations, Slickline assembly etc.
  • To prepare material inventory, including service contractors tool/consumables.
  • To supervise service contractors operation, especially Slickline and E-line job.
  • To act as liaison between KL Office / Miri Office, service contractors and the Operation Team to ensure sufficient co-ordination.
  • To provide a daily well survey reports and communicate to / with COMPANY Manager of Petroleum Engineering and Head of Well Completion and Intervention.

Minimum Requirement(s):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university, Malaysian High Education Certificate or Diploma in any relevant field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of global oil & gas experience with emphasis on Well Intervention, Well Integrity, Drilling, Completion, or Subsea Engineering and field operations of which some should be with a major operator and/or service provider.
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience with demonstrated well intervention and completion leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise managing field operations (slick line, e-line, coil, fluid pumping, rig work overs, gravel pack completions)
  • Demonstrated English language proficiency (written & spoken) as well as safety leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated implementation of risk assessment processes.
  • Must be able to work under stress and with minimum supervision especially in emergencies.
  • Must be highly skilled in all technical disciplines pertaining to a drilling, completion and workover environment.
