  About the job Engineering Manager
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all engineering activities across upstream oil and gas projects. The role includes providing technical leadership, ensuring design integrity, maintaining compliance with project specifications and industry standards, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives. The Engineering Manager will also drive continuous improvement, optimize resources, and ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) / Member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM).
- Minimum 16 years of practical experience in upstream oil and gas projects (onshore, offshore, facilities, and pipeline).
- Minimum 6 years of experience as an Engineering Manager in upstream oil and gas projects.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Vast knowledge and hands-on experience in engineering design management for both onshore and offshore developments.
- Excellent understanding of project management principles and engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure timely and quality project deliverables.
- Oversee engineering design, review, and verification for onshore, offshore, facilities, and pipeline projects.
- Ensure all engineering works comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
- Provide technical direction and guidance to discipline leads throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to achieve project objectives.
- Foster effective collaboration between engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in design efficiency, cost optimization, and project execution performance.
