Job Description:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily drilling operations at the wellsite, ensuring all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drilling programs, company standards, and industry best practices.
  • Provide on-site leadership and oversight of drilling contractors, service companies, and third-party personnel to ensure compliance with operational, technical, and HSE requirements.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Monitor drilling operations, identify operational issues, and implement corrective actions to optimize performance, minimize non-productive time (NPT), and achieve drilling objectives.
  • Coordinate the timely mobilization of personnel, materials, equipment, and services to support uninterrupted drilling activities.
  • Verify the availability, readiness, and maintenance of drilling equipment, tools, and backup equipment required for safe and efficient operations.
  • Prepare and review material requisitions, loadout plans, inventory records, and end-of-well material reconciliation.
  • Review and approve operational documentation, including daily drilling reports, service tickets, casing and cementing reports, BHA records, and other wellsite documentation to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Monitor wellsite costs, maintain expenditure records, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Participate in incident investigations, equipment failure analyses, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead pre-tour meetings, toolbox talks, and HSE meetings while providing technical guidance and supervision to drilling personnel and wellsite teams.
  • Report operational progress, risks, and performance to the Drilling Superintendent or relevant management.

Qualification/Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Drilling Supervisor in deepwater offshore drilling operations.
  • Valid OPITO BOSIET and IWCF Level 4 certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of well construction, drilling operations, well control, and offshore HSE management systems.
  • Familiarity with drilling reporting systems (e.g., Landmark) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural offshore environment.
