Position : Finance Team Lead

Contract: 2 years (direct hire to client)

Location : Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei

Scope of Works:

  • Manage daily financial operations, including AP, AR, and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, accounting, and corporate requirements.
  • Monitor budgets, costs, and variances, and identify opportunities for cost control.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper financial controls and processes.
  • Manage tax matters, statutory filings, and audit requirements.
  • Support contract reviews, business development, and M&A activities from a financial perspective.
  • Conduct financial risk assessments and maintain an effective internal control framework.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on financial reporting and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE requirements, and applicable regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including demonstrated finance leadership and managerial responsibilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and taxation principles in Brunei.
  • Oil & gas experience within an E&P operator environment, preferably with Brunei and/or Southeast Asia PSC exposure.
