Job Overview

The Senior Maintenance Planner leads the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety. The role oversees preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance programs, optimizes resources and materials, and minimizes equipment downtime, supporting smooth and safe operations across the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning and scheduling of preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance

  • Prepare detailed work orders including scope, manpower, materials, tools, and permits

  • Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and Contractors to ensure smooth execution

  • Monitor maintenance KPIs: backlog, schedule compliance, MTBF/MTTR

  • Optimize spare parts usage and manpower allocation

  • Mentor junior planners and support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and company standards

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering

  • Minimum 7–10 years experience in maintenance planning in oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industry

  • Experience in shutdown / turnaround planning

  • Proficient in CMMS (SAP PM, Maximo, Oracle, etc.)

  • Strong analytical, planning, and coordination skills
