Job Overview:
The Principal Front-End Engineer is responsible for leading front-end engineering activities and delivering high-quality technical proposals, designs, and documentation for oil and gas projects. The role ensures all deliverables meet COMPANY standards, project requirements, and industry best practices while providing technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead front-end engineering (FEED / Concept / Pre-FEED) activities for oil & gas projects
- Prepare and review technical proposals, FEED deliverables, and design documentation
- Coordinate and integrate inputs from multidisciplinary teams (process, facilities, subsea, drilling, and cost)
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to engineering teams
- Ensure compliance with COMPANY standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to Field Development Plans (FDP) and Full Field Reviews (FFR) by providing technical assessments and recommendations
- Identify risks, technical gaps, and propose solutions during concept and front-end phases
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Minimum 12 years of experience in front-end engineering within the oil & gas industry
- Experience in at least three (3) Field Development Plan (FDP) or Full Field Review (FFR) projects
- Strong knowledge of oil & gas upstream facilities, processing, and project lifecycle
- Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to deliver high-quality engineering documentation and proposals on schedule
