Marine Mammal Observer (MMO)

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified Marine Mammal Observer (MMO) to support offshore seismic operations by conducting environmental monitoring and ensuring compliance with marine wildlife protection requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor marine mammals and protected species during offshore operations.
• Implement environmental mitigation measures in accordance with project requirements.
• Record wildlife observations and environmental conditions.
• Advise offshore management on environmental mitigation actions.
• Prepare daily monitoring reports and observation logs.
• Participate in HSSE meetings and promote environmental awareness.
• Ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations and project standards.

Requirements

• Recognized Marine Mammal Observer (MMO) certification.
• Minimum 1 year of offshore marine or seismic project experience.
• Strong observation and reporting skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Good command of English.
• Able to work offshore on a rotational basis.
