  About the job Lead Instrument Engineer
The Lead Instrument Engineer will be responsible for leading all instrumentation and control engineering activities throughout project phases, ensuring technical integrity, compliance with standards, and alignment with project objectives. The role involves overseeing design, specification, and integration of instrumentation systems, reviewing engineering deliverables, and coordinating with other disciplines to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
- Registered Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
- Minimum 11 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 6 years as a Lead Instrument Engineer.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control systems design, configuration, and commissioning.
- Proficient in reviewing P&IDs, control philosophies, data sheets, and system architecture.
- Familiar with international standards and codes (ISA, IEC, API, etc.).
- Excellent coordination and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams and ensure quality, safety, and reliability of all instrument deliverables.
