Job responsibilities:

  1. Serve as an Actuarial Analyst, conducting actuarial assessments and supporting the development and maintenance of actuarial models.
  2. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to uncover business opportunities and deliver tailored actuarial solutions.

Job Requirements:

  1. A bachelor's degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  2. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  3. Ability to conduct comprehensive actuarial evaluations.
  4. Understanding of insurance markets and regulatory frameworks.
  5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.
  6. Self-motivated and collaborative, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
  7. Hands-on experience in building and maintaining Prophet actuarial models.
  8. Solid knowledge of actuarial principles, including statutory and traditional embedded values, economic capital, and IFRS standards.
  9. Proficient in statistical analysis tools and programming languages.
  10. Actuarial certifications are highly desirable.
  11. Strong critical thinking and effective communication skills.
  12. ASA or FSA designation (or an equivalent qualification) is considered a strong asset.
  13. Familiarity with the Kelly Criterion and normal distribution principles.
