Job responsibilities:
- Serve as an Actuarial Analyst, conducting actuarial assessments and supporting the development and maintenance of actuarial models.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to uncover business opportunities and deliver tailored actuarial solutions.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive actuarial evaluations.
- Understanding of insurance markets and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.
- Self-motivated and collaborative, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
- Hands-on experience in building and maintaining Prophet actuarial models.
- Solid knowledge of actuarial principles, including statutory and traditional embedded values, economic capital, and IFRS standards.
- Proficient in statistical analysis tools and programming languages.
- Actuarial certifications are highly desirable.
- Strong critical thinking and effective communication skills.
- ASA or FSA designation (or an equivalent qualification) is considered a strong asset.
- Familiarity with the Kelly Criterion and normal distribution principles.
