Job Description:

Client is seeking a corporate associate with 2-5 year of relevant experience to join the Transactions Practice Group in our Dallas, TX location.

  • The position will involve handling a mix of emerging companies & venture capital (ECVC) financing, M&A, private equity, and general corporate counseling for publicly and privately held companies, private equity funds, and other investors and entrepreneurs.
  • The associate would be joining a growing, energetic and collaborative culture that values character, work ethic and personal/professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified candidates must have experience working on venture capital/early stage financings, mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and other commercial transactions, in addition to general corporate experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have sophisticated document drafting and project management skills, a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, an exceptional work ethic, and must be comfortable having direct interaction with partners and clients.
  • Strong writing and communication skills are required.

Education:

  • To be considered, a candidate must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school and must be in good standing and an active member of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where the candidate is admitted to practice.
