Location: Windhoek, Namibia

The Group's fruit and vegetable procurement and distribution branch is looking for a new buyer for the team.

ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

• Growing programmes: planning/implementation thereof

• Product purchase prices

• Sales and gross profit for own buying category

• Maintaining shortage on order /product wastage within acceptable levels

• Product management, including quality

• Food safety systems at Producers

• Regular farm/ opposition visits

• Packaging stock levels

• Promotions

• Acquiring accurate/relevant management information

• Adhering to Company Policy on Buying and Trading Procedures

• Assisting with general management duties

REQUIREMENTS:

• STANDARD OF EDUCATION: Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary qualification

• EXPERIENCE: A thorough knowledge of fruit and vegetables is essential. Previous trading experience is a requirement. Management experience in a packhouse environment will be an advantage.

• COMPUTER LITERACY: Good all round computer skills are essential.

• SPECIAL SKILLS: Communication and interpersonal skills at staff, management and supplier level are essential.

Candidates must have:

A good track record with regard to performance, conduct and reliability.

A valid passport
