Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies
- Oversee product launch management,
- Collaborate with the Product Development team
- Develop segment-specific marketing strategies (High Value, Middle Value, Mass Market) and business segments (Enterprise, Corporate, SMME).
- Focus on segments for mobile (LTE, 5G) and fiber (FTTH, FTTX). Utilize TV, radio, print, out-of-home materials, digital, and social media channels.
- Conduct market research and consumer analysis
- Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns
- Develop and manage compelling/relevant content tailored to each segment
- For business segment marketing, focus on enterprise, corporate, and SMME technology solutions
- Design and execute B2B marketing campaign briefs for agencies
- Provide sales support and enablement, equipping the sales team with marketing collateral, lead generation support, and training
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with industry organizations
- Work with and manage relationships with agencies to plan and execute product and segment-specific campaigns
- Develop detailed campaign briefs for agencies, outlining objectives, target audiences, key messages, and deliverables, and oversee the execution of campaigns.
- Manage campaign budgets and timelines to ensure ROI
- Allocate and manage marketing budgets effectively, optimizing spend across various channels to achieve the best ROI.
- Analyze campaign performance and make data-driven decisions
- Track and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives
- Collaborate with internal sales teams to track conversions and measure the impact of product-specific campaigns on revenue.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities, and product innovations
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of each product's features, benefits, and target segments to inform campaign strategies.
Skills, Competencies & Attributes
- Strong understanding of product marketing and experience in developing campaigns that highlight product features, benefits, and unique selling propositions.
- Expertise in customer segmentation and experience in tailoring campaigns to specific segments, including consumer (High Value, Middle Value, Mass Market) and business (Enterprise, Corporate, SMME) segments.
- Proficiency in developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, and traditional media.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to measure campaign performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with the Product Development team, internal teams (e.g., Sales), and external agencies.
- Creativity and innovation in developing engaging and effective product-specific and segment-specific marketing campaigns.
- Deep understanding of the telecommunications industry, its competitive landscape, and technical solutions for business segments, including mobile (LTE, 5G), fiber (FTTH, FTTX), cloud services, and FTTB.
- Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to effectively manage and coordinate with external agencies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, with a strong focus on product marketing and segment-specific marketing strategies.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful product marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, and traditional media.
- Strong understanding of the telecommunications industry, its competitive landscape, and technical solutions for business segments, including mobile (LTE, 5G), fiber (FTTH, FTTX), cloud services, and FTTB.
- Experience in collaborating with product development teams to align marketing efforts with product launches and existing products and services.
- Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and data analysis software.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to measure campaign performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external agencies.
- Strong project management skills and experience, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
